Project Scope
Senior Places helps individuals and families in the United States find suitable senior-living options. Users can explore care homes, assisted-living facilities, and retirement communities by location or by the criteria that matter to them.
The platform combines geolocation-aware search with a personalized quiz, using a visitor's preferences and location to recommend relevant nearby communities.
My Role
I worked on Senior Places at BitPixel Software Solutions as a Backend Developer, while also contributing across the full stack.
- Developed the APIs that power community discovery and the recommendation experience.
- Contributed to frontend and backend features where the product required end-to-end work.
- Worked directly from client clarifications to turn business requirements into product behavior.
- Assisted with deployment and ongoing delivery on a VPS.
Contribution
This project gave me ownership beyond API implementation. I helped bridge client requirements, product behavior, and deployment so features could move from clarification to a working production release.
